Folsom Lake
Folsom Lake inspires all sorts of images, from sunsets to super blooms and wildlife to trail exploration. Popular spots include Browns Ravine, Beals Point, Granite Bay, and Black Miners Bar.
Rainbow Bridge
Built in 1919, the bridge, which crosses Lake Natoma, symbolizes strength for Folsom. It’s best photographed slightly downriver to capture its grandeur and the water below it.
Historic Folsom
On their own, the charming old buildings of Folsom’s historic district make fantastic visual images. When you add in the many fun events like farmers markets, Holidays in Historic Folsom, the Folsom Ice Rink, or the Hometown Parade, it provides even more inspo for creative content creators!
Folsom Truss Bridge
Initially built in 1893 and relocated to Walker, California, it was only returned to Folsom in 2000. Today, it’s a pedestrian bridge next to the Rainbow Bridge, perfect for a selfie with your favorite hiking or biking partner.
Folsom Powerhouse State Park
Located adjacent to the Rainbow Bridge, the Powerhouse’s old brick structures, original transformers, beautiful park grounds, and Native American grinding rocks are all interesting subjects for many a photographer!
Robbers’ Ravine Bridge
The 150-foot-long wooden bridge, part of the Johnny Cash Trail, crosses Robbers’ Ravine north of Folsom State Prison. It boasts views of the prison, the American River, and the ravine, which is beautiful in the early spring.
